Katie Vincent
Katie is a clinically registered counsellor (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) reg. Clinical 30309) providing support to individuals and couples facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma and addictions.
She holds a Bachelor of Counselling and has over 15 years professional experience including:
Case-management and social work roles in the not-for-profit sector with Mission Australia, collaborating with stakeholders such as NSW Health and the justice system. This involved supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental health issues as they reintegrated into the community following incarceration or discharge from psychiatric care.
Counsellor and coach for reality TV contestants, social media influencers, and media personalities as they transition to public life. Katie has worked with dozens of personalities from TV series including: Married at First Sight, MasterChef, Australian Survivor, Big Brother, LEGO Masters, Stranded on Honeymoon Island and Australian Ninja Warrior.
Consultant in a government-funded research program focused on hoarding disorder and individuals living in squalor. Katie worked within a multidisciplinary team alongside researchers, a clinical neuropsychologist and social workers on a two year pilot project aimed to support individuals at risk of losing NSW Government housing tenancies by helping them address hoarding behaviours.
